Congratulations to Banyule Community Health Dietitian, Nathalie Cook, who was recognised in the Australia Day honours with a Medal of the Order of Australia. Nathalie has been with Banyule Community Health since 2006, and is a creative, passionate and dedicated professional, who is highly regarded by her colleagues.
Nathalie’s work as a Dietitian includes, one on one work with community members, team-based care, health promotion and she has created the Eat Well, Play Well program delivered to newborns and pre-schoolers.
Nathalie also works part time with the Victorian Aboriginal Health Service and is an advocate in many forums for people with blood cancers.
“Nathalie is truly deserving of this recognition. Her contribution to our local community, to her profession and to those experiencing blood cancers is exemplary” said Mick Geary, Banyule Community Health CEO. “Her advocacy to enable access to medications on the PBS is an indication of her combination of passion and professionalism.”
