The ReSPIN Program

Our stories will change the way you view gambling harm.

ReSPIN is a community program that provides volunteer community educators to speak about their personal experiences of gambling harm and recovery to community groups, health services, corporate groups and the media.

All of our community educators have either experienced gambling harm themselves or have been impacted by another person’s gambling and receive training and support through the ReSPIN program to deliver this service. They share their stories honestly, hoping to educate, decrease stigma and encourage people to seek help.

We also aim to influence public discussions about gambling harm by giving a voice to people who have experienced gambling harm themselves.

Make a booking

ReSPIN engagements are free of charge, unless the speaker requires overnight accommodation.

We can help match a volunteer community educator with the type of presentation you require – this may depend on your audience and the purpose of your event or activity.

For all inquiries and/or to make a booking please call 9450 2007 or email respin@bchs.org.au

ReSPIN is run by Banyule Community Health, made possible through a Victorian Responsible Gambling Foundation grant.
