National Sorry Day is held on 26 May each year to acknowledge members of the Stolen Generations, who were forcibly removed from their families, under government policy. Most Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people have been affected either directly or indirectly by this terrible part of history since European colonisation.
At Banyule Community Health we want to turn the hurt from the past into something positive for our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community both now and in the future, listening, consulting and working together.
As part of this, please take a moment today to recognise the Stolen Generations and think about what you can do, to acknowledge, recognize and support the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community here in 3081.
