In 2020, Banyule Community Health developed its’ new Strategic Plan. Key feedback from the consultation identified the need to acknowledge and recognise our incredible staff.
A range of new systems were put in place to keep staff connected, check in, provide updates and to provide support in a difficult 2020. Care and respect for each other was crucial to help staff manage new demands.
As a result of the feedback, a new initiative to formally develop a workplace recognition program has been established, aligning staff with our values – dignity, quality and passion.
Staff were asked to nominate a colleague “living” the Banyule Community Health values at work. I know that staff have a great vantage point to shine a light on the detail and care put into work that often goes unnoticed.
It is important to share the great work of our team members and celebrate the achievements of our health service with our community also.
Our staff are vital in delivering on our purpose every day. Celebrating their contribution to our community has never been more important. We are so happy to share with our community what we value. Leeanne, Suada and Anna are great examples of our purpose and values in action.
