Youth Foundation empowers young people to develop, manage and participate in projects through which positive change for both themselves and their community can happen. The Youth Foundation Facilitator supports each young person to turn their ideas into success.

YF 3081 Current Projects
An after school group for girls in Grades 5, 6 and 7 to connect, have fun and talk about important stuff.
Students from Melbourne Poly are fixing up bikes to donate to people from refugee backgrounds.
Somali students connected with Himilo have designed basketball uniforms for an all-female basketball tournament to encourage female participation in sport.
A dance club for Girls in Grades 2 – 6 who’ve never had the opportunity to have professional tuition.
YF 3081 Past Projects
A deadly day of sport, music, performance, culture, food, yarning and creativity for Aboriginal children and young people, to have their say, be listened to and make change.
Melbourne Poly Students have fundraised for regular affordable sports activities so that hard-up students can get fit, and build their concentration.
Students from NCAT buddied Grade 3 students at Olympic Village Primary School, running activities in literacy and sport. This included students publishing their own story book.
YF Parkville Current Projects
One student has designed a peer-to-peer mentoring program for young men to support one another in a safe environment.
Students applied for a grant to publish a magazine which showcased their writing and art works developed during lessons.
Students wanted to promote inclusivity on campus by raising awareness about LGBTIQ issues via merchandise carrying positive messages.
YF Parkville Past Projects
Students at Parkville Youth Justice Precinct worked with Aboriginal business women to learn about jewellery making and running their own business.
Students at Malmsbury Youth Justice Precinct, worked with Maori and Aboriginal chefs to learn about traditional food and cooking techniques and brought the campuses together for a big feast.
