The Women of West Heidelberg International Women's Day event has become an annual event for Banyule Community Health.

This year's focus is 'Be Bold For Change' and includes presentations from Key Speaker - Hutch Hussein (Refugee Advocate, Emily’s LIST Convener, Feminist and Mum).

Banyule Community Health West Heidelberg will CLOSE for Christmas on Friday 23rd December at 5.00pm and reopen 8.00am Wednesday 28th December 2016.

The centre will also be CLOSED for New Years Day and reopen 8.00am Monday 2nd January 2017.

Last night, Jim Pasinis was awarded the Banyule Citizen of the Year.  This is great recognition to Jim who has been a strong and unwavering voice for social justice issues in the local community for the past 26 years.  In his acceptance, Jim acknowledged the many volunteers and staff who have worked at Banyule Community Health over his 26 year journey as Chief Executive Officer who make the service a great one and the community stronger as a result.  Jim also acknowledged the incredible efforts of the other award recipients and the passion in which they bring to th

The NDIS National Access Team has begun contacting people living in the North East Melbourne Area (NEMA) to gauge their eligibility to become NDIS participants. Telephone calls are being made directly to people with disability and their families. This follows a letter that was sent to prospective participants by the Department of Health and Human Services earlier this year, and is a key activity for the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) to assist people to transition into the scheme.
