We know that life gets busy and perhaps we don’t all get to walk as much as we’d like. Here are a few tips to help incorporate more walking into your day...
A carer is someone who provides care to a family member or friend who needs support, supervision and assistance with everyday living tasks. Carers are often not aware of the valued role they are providing in supporting that person to live in their community as independently as possible. Anyone can become a carer at any time.
National Carers Week is a time to recognise carers and raise community awareness about the contribution they provide to our community. It also provides the opportunity for carers to meet other carers through local event held throughout Victoria.
TELL YOUR FAMILY, TELL YOUR FRIENDS - THERE'S MANY WAYS TO HAVE FUN!
Looking forward to community members getting together this coming Friday (11am - 2pm) for loads of fun.
There will be a FREE BBQ as well as prizes, giveaways, arts and craft, music and pop up stalls (including one where the Women of West Heidelberg Terrariums will be for sale).
Come one, come all for a day of fun!
Spread the word in the community - get family and friends together for a yarn.
Looking forward to seeing everyone THIS FRIDAY (12noon - 2.30pm) down at Barbunnin Beek Gathering Place (Fred Howe Annex, Catalina Street, Heidelberg West) for our 'YARN. SHARE. SUPPORT Day' - a fun afternoon of FREE activites.
