The objectives of Banyule Community Health, as stated in its Constitution are:
Provide appropriate primary health and welfare resources and service mix to meet the community needs aimed at the prevention and control of illness, injury and disease and relief of poverty and sickness.
Promote a multidisciplinary approach to community health through teamwork and co-operation with other health and welfare providers.
Ensure those in need have access to the range of health and welfare services provided, without cost or impediment.
Respond to identified health issues using health promotion strategies to develop the capacity for individuals, families and communities, to promote, improve and protect health and well being.
Encourage and empower members of the local community to participate in the planning, management and delivery of health and welfare services.
Be responsive to individual and community needs through continuing research, planning and evaluation.
Be accountable to the community and funding bodies.
Do all such things as are incidental or conducive to the attainment of the foregoing objects.
